How can you make a difference in the community?
The Capitol Hill Community Association is a volunteer organization that aims to serve the recreational, educational, and social needs of the residents of the community.

Below are just a few ways you can chip in to make Capitol Hill awesome. If you would like to start your own initiative or organize an event, email caphillinfo@gmail.com.

Community Cleanup Committee:  Each year The City of Calgary’s Animal & Bylaw Services in partnership with Waste & Recycling, teams up with local community associations to help residents get rid of unwanted household items and property waste. The City of Calgary supplies three packer trucks (two for waste and one for organic materials) and staff as well as funds for advertising and promotion, gloves, garbage bags, food and refreshments for the group of community volunteers. Email caphillinfo@gmail.com to participate in this project.

Communication and Newsletter Committee:

Capitol Hill Newsletter Committee: We are looking for citizen journalists or writers to contribute articles and/or to share ideas for the Capitol Hill e-newsletter. Deadlines are fluid and topics can be endless. Share your passion with the readership be it gardening, ideas on how to build community, cycling in the city, etc.

If you have community news, or know of events in and around the community, we are always looking to share on our website and social media pages. Email caphillnewsletter@gmail.com to share your story! Let’s keep connected!
